Sheaffer Bay, a reference to the owner’s mother’s maiden name and Little Traverse Bay, where her family has vacationed for generations, is currently a ceramics brand but aims to be a larger creative brand that host events like “crafternoon” and offers a space to create connection through craft.

Our project started with doing something visual with water and the bay, but I quickly realized we needed more of a story than that. I landed on the idea of a camp-y vibe. The idea of summer camp ties in a lot with the brand values, like community and trust. It made me think of a pinky promise, just like a bunch of girls at camp. And I like that showing it involves hands which relates to craft and artistry.
